KEMPSTER, William

William Kempster (1914-1977) was a painter, mural artist, print maker and illustrator. He studied at Wimbledon School of Art under Gerald Cooper, and then at the Royal College of Art (1939-1942) under Percy Jowett and Ernest Tristram. Kempster exhibited extensively throughout his career and was has several significant commissions including The Post Office and The Festival of Great Britain 1951
