Bertram Priestman (1868-1951) was born in Bradford, Yorkshire. Studied at Slade School of Art. Travelled extensively in Europe. Exhibited regularly at RA, Goupil Gallery, ROI, Walker Art Gallery and widely elsewhere. Elected RA in 1923. Won a series of international medals. Many galleries in Britain, including Liverpool, Bristol, Birmingham and Manchester and large number of overseas galleries hold examples of his work.
