Michael Cadman (1920-2010) studied at Wimbledon School of Art (1937-1941) then at the Royal College of Art (1941-1944). From 1947 to 1969 he taught at Epsom School of Art and Croydon College of Art, then retired to Cornwall, where he turned to painting full-time. Cadman exhibited widely in London, and solo exhibitions of his work were held there and also in Surrey and Southampton Museum.
