JONES, Leslie

Leslie Jones (b. 1934) was a painter, printmaker and designer. Studied at Manchester and the Royal College of Art under John Nash and Julian Trevelyan. Jones was a Rome Scholar at The British School in Rome. Taught at the latter as well as at Hornsey, Kingston and St Martin’s Schools of Art. In 1967 he was appointed HM Inspector (Art and Design) Wales. He painted landscapes and townscapes. Born in Caernarvonshire and lived in Colwyn Bay.
