Marjorie Holes (née Fenning) was born in 1907, and died 1992. Born in Cheltenham, Fenning studied at The Royal College of Art. She enjoyed a successful initial career as etcher, painter and illustrator, exhibiting at The Royal Academy between 1930-36. Henning married the artist, Kenneth Holmes (1902-1994) and the couple moved from East Sheen to Leicester. A catalogue of Marjorie Holmes’ etchings is held by Abbott & Holder.
