WOOD BLOCKS – COMPETITION

Over the last 30 years, I have collected a number of engraved wood blocks. Most are known, and the publication for which they were produced. Some are not.

I am endlessly impressed by the knowledge of my customers. Collectors have an astonishing depth of learning. Can anyone help me identify the artists behind these wood engraving blocks?

I am not expecting your help for free. Once identified, I may choose to keep some for my own collection. In this case, I will send £25 per block identified. Should I choose to sell the block once identified, I will send 25% of the gross revenue received for the sale.

Identifying the author of the blocks inevitably increase their value. Compensation is deserved.

The blocks are categorised according to the bundle in which they were bought, eg. 1, i, a or A. If you identify one, you may have identified the whole bundle. £25 for each block still applies.

Thank you all for your help. I know no better pool of expertise to ask.
