A rare (no other examples found) original photograph of Eric Gill at his work unit at Pigotts, dated 1933. Little is known about Paul Synder, the photographer, other than his work from the 1930’s is well represented in The National Portrait Gallery. No other example featuring Eric Gill by Paul Synder has been found. The photograph is signed ‘Paul Synder’ and dated 1933. The photograph measures 24.2cm x 22cm and is laid onto the signed backing.
